Many digital cameras can shoot at standard VGA 640 x 480 resolution and 30 frames a second, and the S80 can do this as well, but it also has a high resolution mode which can shoot at XGA 1024 x 768 size and 15 frames a second. The PowerShot S90 features an intuitive lens Control Ring, which enables users to adjust the settings of various functions by twisting the selector at the base of the lens barrel to the left or right. The S90 shares the same 10 megapixel CCD sensor as the G11, as Canon targets image quality rather than out-and-out resolution. The Canon PowerShot S95 is the successor to the popular S90, a pocket-sized camera that offers a lot of professional features. Aimed at the serious photographer looking for a capable compact, the new Canon S95 features improved handling and greater levels of manual control. The S110 is a relatively gentle update of the S100, with the guts of the camera - the lens, sensor and image processor - staying essentially the same. So it still uses a 12MP 1/1.7" Canon-made 'High Sensitivity CMOS' sensor, DIGIC 5 image processor, and 24-120mm equivalent lens offering a usefully-fast F2.0 aperture at wideangle, but distinctly slow F5.9 at telephoto. The PowerShot S200 is a cheaper version of the S110, utilizing a 10.1 megapixel CCD instead of a 12MP CMOS sensor. It does, however, retain the same F2.0-5.9, 24-120mm lens as the S110 with lens-shift image stabilization. USED
